Kate Beckinsale
Kate Beckinsale’s breakout role came in 1993 when Sir Kenneth Branagh cast her in his film adaptation of Much Ado About Nothing when she was still a student at Oxford. Many British films were to follow. Her American film debut was in 1998 in The Last Days of Disco, playing opposite Chloë Sevigny. More films followed, including The Golden Bowl with Uma Thurman, Pearl Harbor with Josh Hartnett and Ben Affleck, Van Helsing with Hugh Jackman, Laurel Canyon with Christian Bale, The Aviator with Leonardo DiCaprio, Everybody’s Fine with Robert De Niro, Contraband with Mark Wahlberg, and the Underworld franchise.
